Your Four-Season Sanctuary! Step into the ultimate rustic mountain retreat, where rugged adventure meets refined comfort. Whether you’re here to conquer the legendary glades or soak in the stillness of the forest, this chalet is designed to be the backdrop for your best memories. A Note on Alpine Comfort: Like most chalets in the area, we do not have central AC. However, there are fans placed throughout the house to keep the mountain air moving and the indoor spaces comfortable. Community Amenities: Guests are welcome to enjoy the fantastic community amenities, including the Pool, Disc Golf, Hiking Trails, Park, Fire Pit, Hot Dog Pit, and Corn Hole. All we ask is that you remain respectful of the community and mindful of all noted rules throughout your stay. (Amenities are subject to seasonal hours and availability). The Chalet Lower Level: Cross the threshold into a spacious, purpose-built mudroom—the ultimate transition zone. Whether you’re shedding snow-dusted skis or peeling off muddy mountain bike gear and hiking boots, there is ample room to offload the day’s exploits. Beyond the mudroom, discover a versatile secondary living suite featuring: A cozy lounge anchored by a warm gas fireplace. A gathering table perfect for board game marathons or secondary dining. A convenient kitchenette with a mini-fridge for easy access to après-ski snacks. Two private bedrooms: One featuring three twin beds (the ultimate kids' "basecamp") and a second with a plush queen bed, both served by a full bathroom. The Heart of the Chalet (Main Level) Ascend to the second floor, where the atmosphere shifts to pure alpine warmth. The main living area invites you to sink into a sprawling couch or one of two oversized chairs. Light the wood-burning fireplace, let the crackle of logs set the mood, and trade stories of your day on the slopes. The open-concept layout flows into a chef-ready kitchen and a grand dining table designed to bring everyone together for a feast. This level also houses two additional bedrooms (one queen and one with two twin beds) and a second full bathroom, ensuring everyone has their own corner of comfort. The Upper Third Level: When the stars come out over the peaks, retreat to the top floor. This quiet level features an expansive King bedroom, offering a peaceful escape. A final bedroom with three twin beds and a third full bathroom completes the layout, making this floor an ideal setup for a young family or a group of friends. Why the Jay Chalet? Other Details to Note
- We do have Starlink internet, so working away from home is a breeze. Speeds vary, but can easily keep up with any video conferencing you may need or Netflix show - There are three external cameras on site. One at the lower main exterior entrance, one on the exterior west facing, and one on the exterior east facing. There are no cameras inside our home. - Like most Chalets in Alpine Haven (and most homes in the great northern Vermont), we do not have central AC. It does get cool at night and, along with the plethora of fans throughout the home, it cools off perfectly for sweet dreams. Our Location is a Year-Round Adventure Hub! Our property community shares space with over 6 miles of private roads, a pool, tennis court, volleyball court (Open May-September) as well as a large common area for its residents and guests to enjoy. Plus, there are several miles of marked snow shoe and cross country trails which are also used in the summer for hiking. In addition to Disc Golf, which features 12-hole beginner-friendly course. Your four-season escape starts here! Winter: Conquer legendary slopes at nearby Jay Peak (Powder King!), explore endless snowmobile trails, discover backcountry skiing gems, and glide through scenic cross-country trails. Summer: Hike and rock climb breathtaking Hazen's Notch, explore the vast beauty of Lake Memphremagog for boating and fishing, and enjoy vibrant summer festivals. Hit the award-winning Jay Peak Championship Golf Course or explore countless off-road trails. Spring & Fall: Discover prime hunting opportunities and immerse yourself in Vermont's stunning foliage. Alpine Haven is a small community located 5 minutes from Jay Peak. Amenities of the community include a pool, tennis court, frisbee golf, and direct access to the Jay State Park trails. Just 3 miles up the road, you will find the access to the Long Trail and hike up to Canada or down to Massachuettes.
Guest Access
The entire chalet is your home away from home. In the community of Alpine Haven, enjoy access and amenities to an eight-acre park, including scenic mountain views, nature hiking trails and after Memorial Day, enjoy the summer pool, disc golf, sand volleyball, and more.

Bring your passport! With the Canadian border being just a short drive away, you can take a day trip to all the quaint French inspired southern Quebec villages, or go all the way to Montreal (only 90 minutes away)! You can elect to fly into Burlington or Montreal, both are quick drive from the Jay Chalet with Burlington being a bit closer. Once at the Jay Chalet, everything is a short MTB ride or very quick drive away with restaurants that will blow your mind and, in the winter, powder for days!
